Ilaria Ferretti, artist photographer, trained herself by studying Art’s History’s Classics and Contemporary Scene’s artists.
In her works, depending on the creative needs and on the representation she wants to give of the investigated subject, she uses and alternates color and black and white.
After ‘Colore Calore’ (Color Heat) completed in 2006, in recent years, she has produced photographic projects such as ‘Monologhi’ (Monologues), ‘Cemento’ (Cement), Rondini (Swallows) and ‘Bestiario’ (Bestiary). In these, she focuses on the importance of the connection and relationship which exist between man and the close link with the environmental structure that embraces him.
She chooses visual pathways of study and knowledge of the subject and elements which led her to rape and force her images. Thus, she achieves in her works an extreme synthesis, revealing the appearance of abstract qualities that enhance the strength of the subject and images.
She photographs her memory fusing together various fragments of recollection up to portray and reassemble a place, reveal a color, a shape or an instinctual animal movement, using photography as a switch of reality.
